That with respect to facilitation of meetings between First Nations and Municipalities, the following actions be taken: a) the Mayor BE REQUESTED to write a letter to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, proposing changes to the Municipal Act, 2001, to better facilitate meetings between First Nations and Municipal Councils in Ontario; and b) the Mayor BE REQUESTED to advocate via the Ontario Big City Mayors Caucus and the Association of Municipalities Ontario for changes to the Municipal Act, 2001 to better facilitate meetings between First Nations and Municipal Councils in Ontario.
